Back in Nepal and Namgyal Project Finish

We talked about it for a long time and looked for dates, and then came the long-awaited opportunity to leave at very short notice.

Unfortunately, our trips to Nepal are always determined by the business situation here in Switzerland, but the Basel Carnival allowed us to create a time window and set off for Nepal. Thanks to our support from Globetrotter Reisen, we were able to book our flights to Kathmandu within four days, where we were warmly welcomed by our team.

It’s almost like coming home when you arrive in a different but now familiar world after almost two years. The aim was to be present at the completion of the first joint project with Bruno Jelk, Zermatt from Earth C-Air – Direct Aid Nepal – and to train and instruct on the organization and management of our new storage facilities.

The new location of our material warehouse is ideal as we are a two-minute walk from our home base Nicole Thakuri’s NAG Nepal, where we are always warmly welcomed not only by Nicole but also by the children living there.

We were also on site for the first time when a large delivery of sanitary materials – once again thanks to Geberit International – arrived in Nepal from the distribution center in India. This enabled us to also instruct this part of our crew 1:1, namely the meter and piece count check as well as the subsequent adding up in the Google material list and sorting in the warehouse.

We are sure that there will be no more errors in this important Google material list in future. This is the only way we will be able to manage projects not only technically but also materially from Switzerland.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our donors and our main sponsor, Geberit AG.
