From the Shree Ratna Pajya project to Switzerland

Once again, our Nepal sanitation team has made the impossible possible and renovated the sanitary installations for 650 pupils and students. Pupils and teachers are overjoyed to finally have functioning toilets and washing facilities again.

Our two long-standing employees Karna Sunuwar and Nabin Kumar Tamang were also overjoyed on their return when they received a request from the Swiss embassy in Kathmandu to bring their passports.

We also made the impossible possible for them and finally got their visas after almost 5 months of battling with the authorities. After repeated refusals from the Swiss embassy, the disappointment of our two employees was huge and the hope of ever seeing Switzerland after all dwindled. This time, however, we persevered and kept our promise to the two boys. They landed safely in Zurich early on Tuesday morning!

The excitement was great and the new world is still unbelievable for them at the moment. What is omnipresent for us is almost unimaginable for them. In the coming weeks, we will provide them with in-depth training in sanitary technology, especially in residential construction, and give them new inputs for their country.

Of course, a visit to the company that is providing us with exemplary material support in Nepal is also on the agenda. Karna and Nabin are already very excited to see the production facilities and training rooms of Geberit AG in Rapperswil-Jona.

More news on how two Nepalese are doing in sanitary technology in Switzerland, coming soon.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our donors and our main sponsor, Geberit AG.
