The further training in Switzerland has clearly given Karna and Nabin a lot of technical confidence. Work is progressing rapidly and the ground floor and second floor will certainly be ready for use when the pupils and students return from vacation.
We had material problems with this multi-storey project. However, these were immediately intercepted and reorganized once again by our sponsor Geberit International. We are receiving material supplies this week via the Geberit distribution center in India, so that we can complete the Nagarjun project by the end of the coming weeks.
This project is also the first time that hot water via solar panels comes into play, meaning that the shower facilities have hot water. This prompted us to somehow get shower mixers from Switzerland to Nepal. Sanitary fittings in Nepal are not only very expensive because of the luxury taxes (about the same price as in Switzerland), but also of very poor quality.
Fortunately, Bruno Jelk, Zermatt from Earth C-Air left for Nepal two weeks ago for rescue training and immediately agreed to take the mixers with him.
Bruno also inspected our work on site, as the project request came to us via him. Bruno is happy that everything is running smoothly and Dolma Tso (the principal) is pleased that our work is helping to provide clean toilet and shower facilities for the pupils.
Thanks to your support and the support of Geberit AG, over 300 children will very soon have new and immaculate sanitary facilities that will make their lives more pleasant!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our donors and our main sponsor, Geberit AG.
