Shree Balbalika Sudhar Adharbhut Bidhalaya School with C-Air

Even before our stay in Nepal, Bruno Jelk from Earth C-Air approached us with the question of whether we could renew the sanitary installations at Shree Balbalika Sudhar Adharbhut Bidhalaya School. And whenever Bruno comes to us with such a request, it is always a pleasure for us to help.

At the beginning of last week, our local team completed the work at Shree Balbalika Sudhar Adharbhut Bidhalaya School, including all tiling work. This means that almost 100 girls, boys and teachers now have access to hygienic, clean and fully functional sanitary facilities.

At the request of the school, our crew also equipped the room next to the sanitary facilities with a water connection and built a counter with a sink. As a result, the room can now be used as a school kitchen with running water.

At the same time, another project has already begun. In cooperation with Anandakuti Vidyapeeth School in Swayambhu, Kathmandu — also known as the “Monkey School” — we are honoured to support another important initiative. The school is located at the foot of the hill of the famous Swayambhu Mahachaitya Temple, which is known for its large monkey population and gives the place its distinctive nickname. The buildings for the sanitary facilities have been newly constructed from the ground up, allowing us to now begin the sanitary installations there as well.

The collaboration between Swiss foundations in Nepal is of great importance not only to Earth C-Air and our foundation, but also to our valued supporter here in Switzerland, the Geberit Group. Without Geberit, the large number of projects and the high-quality material support for public schools in Nepal would not be possible. We therefore extend our special thanks once again to Geberit and the people responsible — you are truly exemplary.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our donors and our main sponsor, Geberit AG.
